Keep San Jose Clean

Client: City of San Jose Environmental Services Department

To promote the department’s initiatives to “Keep San Jose Clean,” Art Builds Community facilitated a community painting activity during the Viva Calle open streets festival. Community members were invited to help paint in the illustration that depicted a burrowing owl overlooking a lush natural environment where a coyote is howling by a flowing creek of rainbow trout and a recycling truck towing away recyclables. The painting culminated into a 5” x 5” mural where the Environmental Services Department will tour around during their community tabling efforts in San Jose.
