Casita South City

CLIENT: City of South San Francisco

For the South San Francisco Public Art Master Plan, Art Builds Community facilitated an arts-based community engagement tour to gather feedback from community members. One of the stops was at a neighborhood movie night at an elementary school where they were showcasing the movie Encanto. A prompt was created inspired by the movie and focused on gathering feedback from youth. The prompt asked youth participants to explore what they believed to be the magical power of their city and were invited to draw or write what that looked like. Their feedback was incorporated as feedback for the South San Francisco Public Art Master Plan.
